About the event
A collaborative performance by Youtube drumming sensations BYOS together with esteemed local drummers and musicians from classical, jazz, pop, rock, and Chinese music backgrounds. They included celebrated Hong Kong drummer Nate Wong, leading Hong Kong percussionist Dr. Lung Heung-wing, guitarist Robin Law of pop band Kolor fame, Taiwanese Sheng performer Li Li-chin, Erhu and Gaohu masters Hsin Hsiao-ling and Hsin Hsiao-hung, Guqin performer Wang You-di, and Pianist Huang Nai-wei. The performance also premiered 10 new musical pieces inspired by the artistic concept of the Chinese notions of eight tones, composed by renowned local composers Peter Kam, Lincoln Lo, Harry Ng, Samson Young, Tang Lok Yin, and Perry Lau.
