  • One rudiment video (pick of 1 rudiment out of 3 in each category

  • Completed application form

  • ​Enrolment fee partially (1/2 fee is USD $55 / HKD $420 / RMB ¥390 per participant per category)

  • A proof of payment (receipt) has to be submitted

• 2 rudiments scores link will be enclosed with the confirmed page when application completed.

Asia Pacific Drummer Competition
semi-final round
(Top 10 from category 1,2,3 and Top 5 from category 4,5 )

Semi Final (Live Battle)

Date: 26th - 29th June, 2025

Venue: The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong​

• The shortlisted drummers of each category must be physically present in Hong Kong for the Live semi-final round

• ​All drummers entering the semi-final need to pay on top USD $55 / HKD $420 / RMB ¥390 per group per category, non-refundable. A proof of payment (receipt) has to be provided.

• If any drummer cannot confirm us the availability before the deadline, the HKIDF may invite another drummer to fill the vacancy.

Semi-final Competition Criteria
(Top 10 from category 1,2,3 and Top 5 from category 4,5 )

• The Asia Pacific classes applicants

  • arrange one free drum solo within 2 minutes 

  • 1 own choice song 

  • drum  battle items will be announced on June 30th  

• The  Hong Kong Classes applicants

  • 1 own choice song

Final Battle  (Top 3 drummers from each category)

Date: 1st July, 2025

Venue: Hong Kong City Hall Auditorium

• The items of the Final Battle will be announced on the check-in dates (26th-26th June)

• The award ceremony will be released on the HKDrumFest YouTube channel on July 10th, 7pm

• The Champion, 1st runner up and 2nd runner up of Categories 1,2, 3, 4 and 5 will be announced in the Battle live Competition Concert

• All winners and competitors must be presented at the semi-final and final round of the competition in Hong Kong.
